8 Creative Ideas To Look Good And Feel Good
Inspiration doesn’t come easy. When we don’t feel creative or inspired, it can affect our day-to-day lives. To overcome this, you may want to try a few ideas that will help you look good and feel good.
Remember that looking good and feeling good go hand in hand. So if one doesn’t work out, you can try the other. It’s a matter of what you feel more comfortable doing so that you can be the best version of yourself. Here are a few creative ways and ideas to do that:
1. Take a Walk or Exercise
Taking care of your physical health is an important step to help yourself feel good. There’s no doubt that exercising is one of the most common ways to take care of your physical health. However, doing a full exercise routine or going to the gym to lift weights can sometimes feel taxing.
If you’re in a slump, then it’s great to take a walk outside. A simple walk around your block can help you get in some steps for the day, get some Vitamin D from the sun, and explore the outdoors. Some studies even suggest that taking a walk can help boost your creativity!
2. Cook a Healthy Meal
Aside from exercising, having a healthy meal is another step that you can take to improve your physical health. And no, don’t just order a healthy meal from a restaurant nearby. Instead, look up a recipe that you find interesting (whether that’s online or in cookbooks) and try your best to recreate it.
Cooking a meal from scratch can help you feel a sense of accomplishment, especially if it’s a new recipe. The meal being healthy is a huge plus as well because it’s going to make you feel good about what you’re putting inside your body.
3. Journal and Meditate
If we’re taking care of our physical health, then it’s also important to take care of our mental health. There are times when we don’t feel good about ourselves because we’re too worried about what’s to come. Journaling and meditation is a great way to be present so that we can think better about ourselves. You’ll be surprised how taking a few minutes out of your day to write down all of your thoughts and focus on your breath can change your relationship with yourself.
4. Hang Out With Other People
Spending too much time alone can affect our overall happiness. Although some people are introverts and prefer to spend time with themselves, it’s not good to go in full isolation mode. Going out to eat for a meal with a friend or relative is a simple way to hang out with other people. With good food and good conversation with someone you care about, you’re guaranteed to feel better about yourself afterward.
5. Revamp Your Style
If you don’t feel great about how you look, then try to revamp your style. Try out a new makeup look or shop for clothes that are different from the pieces you already have in your closet. Doing these can take out the monotonous feeling of your everyday life. Who knows, wearing that new shade of lipstick or those new pair of shoes might just make you feel more comfortable with yourself.
6. Clean Your Space
Your space can often reflect how you feel. If you have a cluttered space, then you will most likely have a cluttered mind. This can affect how you work or how you deal with day-to-day life. Just imagine the difference between waking up to a tidy room versus waking up to a room with clothes all over the floor.
However, deep cleaning all of your space in one go might be too overwhelming. If this is the case, then one good tip is to set a 20-minute timer at the end of your day and do whatever cleaning you can do within that time. In case you don’t finish anything within those 20 minutes, don’t worry. You can set another timer the next day and accomplish it then.
7. Try Out a New Hobby
Trying out a new hobby can open you to a whole new world of possibilities. There are so many skills and lessons you can learn when you try out a new hobby. And since you’re a beginner, there’s no rush in being the best in it right away. You can simply go with the flow and see where it takes you. If you find that the hobby that you tried out isn’t for you, then there are plenty of other hobbies out there!
8. Turn Off Your Phone
Our phones can bring all kinds of distractions into our life. Sometimes, we forget to snap out of these distractions and simply be present. Try turning off your phone or maybe just be away from it for a while. You don’t have to be on it and online 24/7. When we take a step back and just spend time without all the distractions that the internet brings, then we’ll definitely feel better about ourselves.
